Accommodation Savaii Island
Savaii is the largest island in Samoa but with a landscape shaped by its recent volcanic activity it is sparsely populated. The main town of Salelologa sits on the south east peninsula and its wharf receives passenger ferries from Upolu island three or four times daily, with the crossing between the two islands taking about an hour.
The majority of accommodation in Savaii is on the north-east coast at beautiful Manase Beach. There are a couple of guesthouses in Salelologa Town (wharf) and two small ageing hotels and beach fales along the east coast en route to Manase.
