Adi's Place Fiji showing picture of beach

Adi's Place was the original budget retreat in the southern Yasawas having opened on Waya Island in 1981 alongside a pretty stretch of beach near the village of Yalobi. It closed in 2005. This was a very simple Fijian style village guest house and if you are prepared for very basic living, there's a decent opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditional village life.

Room Information - Our Review

Accommodation at Adi's is set in a family style garden with several houses converted into guest lodges. One house has three guest rooms with double bed, a communal lounge and shares an outdoor bathroom. Another houses the 2 eight bed dorms with outdoor shared bathroom. Set behind the two houses are two small private bungalows with private wooden veranda and en-suite bathroom (cold water only).

Home cooked meals with a Fijian flavour are provided in a sand floor restaurant at the front of the property. For those staying in the private bure, guests are served a 2-course dinner on the wooden deck overlooking the beach.

Adi's is a five minute stroll to the fishing village of Yalobi where guests can experience true Fijian living. On school days, kids walk along the beach past Adi's on their way back to the village and this always makes for a friendly interaction. The hills surrounding Yalobi have fantastic hiking with sunset hill treks (half an hour) to full day treks available.
