Independent review for Vahine Island Resort in French Polynesia
Tranquil property on small island on the east side of Tahaa. This is a small intimate and down-to-earth property with a secluded and tranquil outlook and as much or little activity as you choose.
Vahine Island Resort is situated in a paradise-like setting on the Motu Tu Vahine (Island of the Woman), a private little island in the middle of the lagoon of Tahaa. The Resort has everything to make your stay in paradise an unforgettable one especially with a setting of white sand beaches, a magnificent coconut grove full of light and shadows and a backdrop of superb sunsets over Bora Bora will take your breath away and remain forever etched in your memories of this unbelievable place.

Room Information
The Beach Bungalows are ocean front on a narrow stretch of sand with a very shallow lagoon - at high tide the beach disappears altogether. Currently being upgraded to provide larger living space.
Overwater Bungalows face west and overlook the mountains of Tahaa. Each of the three bungalows offers a large open plan room with rattan furnishings and a small bathroom (low shower head) with separate but tiny toilet. There's a large wooden veranda along two sides of the bungalow giving good privacy. Each bungalow has direct access into the lagoon.
The Beach & Lagoon
There's a small beach at the front of the property and a picturesque sand spit at low tide.
The island is covered in coconut palms and lawn and there's a lovely open-air restaurant with sand floor and wooden designs overlooking the ocean.
