Planning your Spa Holiday to Fiji

Overview

It's amazing the differences of what people think a spa holiday should be. For some, it's all the mod-cons from water-blasting to hot stone healing and sugar wraps. Amazingly, some resorts in Fiji offer this, but mostly only the larger brand resorts. For others, a spa holiday is simply about relaxing in a serene environment and doing some yoga. This too is pretty well catered for, although yoga, perhaps not by many. If you're just after a good massage, you won't have a problem finding one at any of the resorts in Fiji - even the budget resorts offer guest massages on the beach front. But it still goes down to the perception of what a spa holiday really is and what Fiji can offer in terms of true R&R.

Quite a few of the boutique resorts in Fiji have re-branded by calling themselves such and such "Resort & Spa" in the hope of capturing this growing but very broad market. We have broken down our recommendations into the following directories:

Dedicated Spa Centres

Resorts that offer dedicated spa centres with a range of massage techniques offered with some of the mod-cons which might not always encompass everything you want, but there will be a mix of relaxation rooms, changing rooms, massage rooms and perhaps a water therapy room plus a reception area offering well known brands of oils and lotions.

Therapeutic Resorts

Resorts that are just a great place to have a massage - it might just be a massage in the lagoon, or on a table top alongside the beach front - but where the massage experience is enhanced by the stunning secluded setting where you'll feel at one with the environment - personally, that's what I call a spa holiday.

Resorts with Beauty Salons

Resorts that offer beauty therapy including hair saloons and professional pedicure and manicure services.
